how we started

While serving food at a local inner city outreach, our initiating member was impacted. Impacted so much that in the days following his mission service, he realized he must do more for these people. After much prayer, and while reaching for his favorite cushion for an afternoon nap, a street pillow idea came to mind. Not knowing how to create a pillow and knowing he could not do it alone, he turned to members of his small group. A group of five men came together and formed Pillow Ministry International Inc.

Prayer, prayer and more prayer is the cornerstone of our ministry, we are thankful for what God has given us and quickly realized we do not know who needed, or how to get them, pillows. We connected with the local inner city outreach ministries (see our distribution partners) and through them we reach the unsaved and less fortunate with the message of Christ's love and comfort with and by the distribution of pillows.

At a very early stage we agreed to always have on the pillows, a cross, Jesus said and a verse spoken by Jesus.

We wanted a pillow that could withstand the perils of street life, and still be a strong vibrant voice. The outer shell of the pillow is constructed of heavy weight poly 600 twill and sublimated so the image will never fade, peel or crack.

The inner pillow is a self contained polyester holofil 18" square pillow, that can be washed and will drip dry.
